What is Linnworks?
Linnworks is a commerce operations platform that manages orders, inventory, and warehouse fulfillment across sales channels. Redo’s Linnworks integration books an RMA in Linnworks for each return and processes the return in Redo once your warehouse actions the RMA. Linnworks restocks the items; Redo issues the refund, store credit, or exchange. What Does the Integration Do?
When a return is created in Redo (or approved, if it needs review), the integration books an RMA in Linnworks against the original order, populated with:- Return items only, matched to the Linnworks order lines by SKU. Items the customer keeps (green returns) are left off.
- Location (and bin, for warehouse-managed locations), from your mapping for the Redo location the return ships to, or your default returns location.
- Refund amount of 0, because Redo issues the refund.
- Return ID as the external reference, so a retry never books a second RMA.
Other RMA Changes
- Return reset or rejected in Redo: an RMA that hasn’t been actioned is deleted in Linnworks. An actioned one gets a note to reverse it in Linnworks.
- RMA removed in Linnworks: the return is flagged in Redo for your team to review.
- In-store returns: the RMA is booked and actioned at once, using the mapping for the store’s shop.
How to Set It Up
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:Active Linnworks Account
Active Linnworks Account
You need a Linnworks account with permission to install apps.
Orders Flow Through Shopify
Orders Flow Through Shopify
Your Shopify orders must come into Linnworks through the Linnworks Shopify channel, so Redo can find the original order by its Shopify order name or ID.
Linnworks Updates Shopify Stock
Linnworks Updates Shopify Stock
Linnworks should push stock levels to Shopify. Redo leaves restocking to Linnworks.
Returns Locations
Returns Locations
Set up the Linnworks locations (and bins, for WMS locations) where returned items should go. Standard (non-WMS) locations only track stock by bin for batch-tracked items, so to keep returns apart from sellable stock there, use a separate returns location.
Configuration Steps
1
Navigate to Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations and open Linnworks.
2
Connect Linnworks
On the Returns row, click Connect. A Linnworks tab opens. Click Install to add the Redo app to your Linnworks account. Linnworks may label the app “not verified”; you can still install it. The tab closes and Redo shows Linnworks as connected.
3
Set Up Locations
Click Set up on the Returns row and choose:
- Default returns location, used when no mapping applies, plus a returns bin if it’s a warehouse-managed (WMS) location
- Location mappings (optional), a Linnworks location (and bin, for WMS locations) for each Redo location
4
Turn On Skip Ecommerce Provider Restock
Go to Settings → Returns → Automation → Inventory → Advanced and turn on Skip ecommerce provider restock, so returns processed by hand or in store don’t also restock Shopify.
5
Turn On Returns
Turn on Create RMAs in Linnworks and Process returns when actioned, then click Save.
6
Test the Integration
Create a test return to verify it works end-to-end:
- Create a return in Redo for an order that is in Linnworks
- In Linnworks, open Orders → Returns & refunds → RMA bookings and check the RMA has the right items and location
- Action the RMA in Linnworks
- Within 15 minutes, Redo processes the return
Linnworks does not send webhooks to Redo. Returns are processed by Redo’s 15-minute check, so expect up to 15 minutes between your warehouse actioning an RMA and Redo processing the return.
How Long Does It Take?

Operational Timing

2

3

Important Considerations
Orders that reach Linnworks directly from another channel, such as eBay, rather than through Shopify can’t currently be matched to a Redo return.
