# supportTopicCreate

> Create a support topic for the classifier to assign to new tickets. Creating one with a deleted topic's name restores that topic with its id. Throws a 409 CONFLICT error when the store already has a topic with that name.

## Arguments

**input** `[SupportTopicCreateInput!](/docs/api-reference/v3/reference/support/support-topic-create-input)` *required*

The new topic.

**fields**

**description** `String!` *required*

What the topic covers. The classifier matches tickets against the name and this text.

**name** `String!` *required*

The topic's name, unique within the store, at most 255 characters.

**supportTopicCreate** `[SupportTopic!](/docs/api-reference/v3/reference/support/support-topic)` *required*

A merchant-defined topic. The classifier assigns topics to new tickets, and rules can match on them.
