# SegmentFieldDataType

> Comparison shape for a catalog field. Stored on the condition as `whereCondition.type`.

| Value | Description |
| - | - |
| `BOOLEAN` | True or false. No operator list. |
| `CITY_PROXIMITY` | Distance to a city, after country and state. |
| `CUSTOM_FIELD` | A merchant-defined customer field. Look up its options. |
| `DATE` | A full-date timeframe comparison. |
| `DATE_ANNUAL` | A recurring calendar-date timeframe. |
| `NUMERIC` | Compare against a number. |
| `STRING` | Substring / prefix / suffix match on free text. |
| `TOKEN` | Match any/none of a list of tokens. |
| `TOKEN_HIERARCHY` | Tokens that require parent values first (country → state). |
| `TOKEN_LIST` | Match any/none/all of a list of tokens. |
