# deleteDiscountCode

> Delete a discount code. Returns true if an owned code was deleted, false if none matched. On Shopify the platform discount is deleted too; on BigCommerce only the Redo record is removed.

**Required scopes:** [`campaigns_write`](/docs/api-reference/v3/reference/scopes#scope-campaigns_write)

## Arguments

  The discount code's `id`, or its `legacyId` from an earlier version of the Redo API.
</ResponseField>

## Returns

<ResponseField name="deleteDiscountCode" type="Boolean!" required />

## Example
