# EmailTemplateVariableSource

> Where a template variable comes from. Trigger fields come from the template's schema; renderer names are filled for every email; non-schema names resolve from the store or customer at send time.

| Value | Description |
| - | - |
| `NON_SCHEMA` | Resolved at send time from the store or customer, not from the trigger payload. |
| `RENDERER` | Filled by the email renderer for every send (unsubscribe and view-in-browser links). |
| `TRIGGER` | A field on this trigger's schema. |
